As Fumito Ueda prepares for the release of The Last Guardian, the spiritual sequel to his previous games, his company plans to re release his previous two games, Ico and Shadow of the Colossus in a HD format. In order to generate interest for the release, two trailers were released, one for each game, promoting interest in the re release which is due late September. The new releases will feature trophy and 3D support, a feature not found in the PS2 version. While the games were intended to be sold separately, the games will also be available in a collectors bundle which contains the games, a 100 page booklet detailing how the games were made and exclusive themes that come with both games. The trailers can be viewed after the jump and while the double pack is set for a late September release, The Last Guardian is due to come out during Spring 2012.

Looking pretty fantastic! I’ve had this preordered for what seems like forever, and I can’t wait to play these games again in brilliant 60FPS HD.
